Professional Experience
Elixir Technologies – Ventura, CA June 1991-June 2010
Elixir Technologies is a leading developer of innovative software for document composition, resource management, print stream conversion, and document archival.
Customer Support - Responsible for supporting Elixir’s PC based electronic form design, document composition and print stream software. This included support for the full line of the Elixir products – both legacy and next generation. Maintaining FAQ documentation for both internal and external usage.
Quality Assurance – Responsible for assuring Elixir’s Window’s based software, which had been converted from MS-DOS GUI, was ready for launch.
Cadam – Burbank, CA June 1989-June 1991
CADAM (Computer Augmented Design And Manufacturing) software (CADAM was a subsidiary of Lockheed Corporation)
Technical Support Representative -Provided software support to End users, IBM System engineers and VARS utilizing RISC 6000, MVS, and VM/SP platforms.
Logos Computer Systems – Mt. Arlington, NJ June 1978-June 1989
Logos was a developer of machine language translation software.
IBM Support Representative - Responsible for support of mainframe installations in Europe. This included installations in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, and the Netherlands.
Senior Program Analyst -As Project Leader, I assisted and coordinated the development of the Logos translation system on the following platforms: MVS, UNIX, and VM/SP. My Responsibilities also included the migration of this product base from VM/SP to UNIX, VM/SP to MVS, and WANG OIS to VM/SP operating systems. While involved with the performance and cost analysis program, I also participated with the installation of the software at various customer sites.
Program Analyst -As a valued member of Logos programming staff, I participated in the development of various programs that contributed in the advancement of Logos translation software. The Lexical Database Update Utilities and Semantic/Syntactic Rules Validation Programs were also part of this effort.
Operations Supervisor -Though my primary responsibility was for the operation of the WANG OIS and IBM Timeshared Facilities, I also developed an automated backup system for Logos. I was also the author of an internal Systems’ User Guide.
