Emtex Introduces VIP / VDE Version 8.7 for the Transactional, Graphic Arts and POD Environments
Boca Raton, FL, February 28, 2008 — Pitney Bowes Emtex Software, an industry leading provider of enterprise output management solutions, announces the release of Virtual Intelligent Presentation (VIP) and Virtual Document Enhance (VDE) Version 8.7 software allowing print operations to fully maximize their mailstream document production infrastructure. VIP / VDE Version 8.7 is designed to support the sophisticated workflow capabilities of Transactional, Graphic Arts, and POD environments.
With the increasing trend of migrating from monochrome to digital color printing technologies, VIP / VDE Version 8.7 includes comprehensive support for ICC Profiles for full color IPDS® and enhancements for PDF workflows, including compliance with PDF 1.7 to support the industry’s projected growth in Production TransPromo volumes. Also inherent in this release is the support for the new USPS® Intelligent Mail® Barcode (IMB) mandate, including dynamic IMB generation, enabling print and mail operations to get a head start on compliance in anticipation of the 2009 USPS deadline.
