Océ Expands imageRUNNER ADVANCE Offering with Monochrome MFPs

Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 6000 Series models are now available to Océ customers

TRUMBULL, CONN. September 20, 2010 – Océ, an international leader in digital document management, today announced that Océ North America Document Printing Systems has begun selling the Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 6000 Series of multifunctional printers. With a seamless integration of hardware, software and services, these models, which are part of Canon's imageRUNNER ADVANCE platform of solutions, deliver improved usability, productivity and image quality to large corporate offices and workgroups.

"The introduction of these innovative document management solutions further expands the Océ product line, giving our customers greater access to advanced devices as Océ and Canon seek to create the top presence in the printing industry," said John Reilly, President, Océ North America, Document Printing Systems. "This series will enable our customers to increase productivity while managing costs so they can easily meet their business goals."

When combined with the imageRUNNER ADVANCE Essentials software suite, which works in unison with imageRUNNER ADVANCE models, these devices become highly integrated in users' workflows, redefining how they access, share and manage document imaging and communications. With imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop, imageRUNNER ADVANCE Tracker and Workflow Composer and MEAP Connectors, true productivity will increase at every level to help users, administrators and decision makers create spectacular work in less time.

"The integration of the imageRUNNER ADVANCE lineup into the Océ portfolio is the next step in offering customers an unprecedented array of document imaging and management solutions," said Sam Yoshida, Vice President and General Manager, Imaging System Group, Canon U.S.A. "Not only will customers have access to several advanced solutions but the world-class service and support to accompany it."

Further enhancing the user experience, the models feature an 8.4" full-color SVGA TFT screen with wider viewing angles and exceptional image clarity. Main Menu keys provide convenient access to popular functions and the Quick Menu key simplifies workflows by providing users with one-touch access to commonly used jobs or functions. In addition, status notifications alert users when toner and paper need replacing, maximizing uptime.

For greater productivity, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE 6075/6065/6055 models enable users to quickly produce the documents they need with letter-sized print speeds of up to 75 pages-per-minute (ppm), 65 ppm and 55 ppm, respectively. These fast and reliable devices also feature a high-speed single-pass duplex scanning unit and offer a maximum paper capacity of 7,700 sheets for extended print runs and less downtime. Flexible in-line finishing options include multi-position stapling, booklet making, post-process document insertion and C/Z-fold support, enabling organizations to produce work in-house that was formerly outsourced.

Further increasing productivity, all models in the imageRUNNER ADVANCE 6000 lineup support Canon's MEAP technology and include the Advanced Box feature, which allows users to store documents in their native file formats and share them across network-connected models as well as personal computers. Enhanced connectivity will also speed up workflows by allowing users to directly connect to USB memory devices, as well as SD and CompactFlash® cards.

In addition to the enhanced features, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE 6000 Series continues to offer superb image quality with up to 1,200 x 1200 dots-per-inch (dpi) print resolution. Also, Canon's fine-grained pO toner enables users to produce clear, smooth images with a high-quality finish.

The imageRUNNER ADVANCE 6000 Series helps users increase their business productivity while decreasing their environmental impact. The models emit 30 percent fewer CO2 emissions than previous models, certain components are made with 100 percent recycled plastic and all of the models consume just 1 watt of electricity in Sleep mode.
