InfoTrends has again ranked Océ in the top position in the combined US and Western European markets in sale of production colour continuous feed printers, on the back of its best-selling JetStream range.
The institute reports that, in 2010, Océ expanded its leading position to 30% in the production colour continuous feed market segment with its Océ JetStream inkjet family and the newly released Océ ColorStream 3500 products. This places Océ in the top position for the second year in a row.
According to InfoTrends, Océ also captured the number one position in the b&w continuous feed printer market for the fifteenth consecutive year.
The ranking comes as Océ announces the addition of new Océ JetStream 1400 and Océ JetStream 3000 digital full-colour inkjet printing systems, enlarging the company’s highly successful Océ JetStream production colour continuous portfolio.
The Océ JetStream 1400 is the high-speed model in this product’s compact series, offering full-width duplex printing capability in a single cabinet with printing speed of 100 meters per minute for the production of 1,350 A4 images per minute. The compact design is the ideal solution for print providers with limited floor space, providing full-colour two-up duplex productivity in the smallest footprint.
The Océ JetStream 3000 is the new top model in the product’s dual series, with a printing speed of 200 meters per minute, which translates to 2,700 A4 images per minute. All Océ JetStream printers offer 1,200 dpi perceived image quality based on 600 x 600 dpi resolution with a 2-bit multilevel option, independent of production speed.
With the addition of the two products, the Océ JetStream family extends the company’s leadership position in the digital full-colour inkjet segment and helps a wider range of print providers make the transition from offset to high-speed digital printing.
Herbert Kieleithner, Marketing Manager for Production Printing, Océ Australia, says: “Océ easily offers the broadest product range for continuous feed in the industry. Both the JetStream and ColorStream 3500 solutions are built around productive and flexible workflow, extremely reliable service plus an upgrade strategy that protects the investments of our customers by anticipating future requirements.”
