GBC® and Océ Announce New In-line Punching Solution for Océ VarioPrint Devices

September 10, 2007, Northbrook, Illinois – GBC, an ACCO Brands company (NYSE: ABD) and market leader in the manufacturing and distribution of laminating and binding products, and Océ N.V., a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, announce the international availability of the GBC PowerPunch in-line punching solution, which extends seamless productivity for Océ VarioPrint ® printers.

The GBC PowerPunch is compatible with Océ VarioPrint 2090/2100/2110/3090/3110 multi-function printers and the award-winning Océ VarioPrint 6000 family of digital duplex systems with unique Océ Gemini Instant Duplex technology. This new finishing solution improves productivity by allowing customers to punch documents immediately after printing, resulting in faster availability for binding and distribution.

The GBC PowerPunch is a fully integrated unit with interchangeable die sets for six popular binding styles: three-ring, CombBind ®, Color Coil ®, WireBind, VeloBind ®, and ProClick ®. Documents are printed, punched then ready-to-bind documents emerge from the stacker. By keeping pace with the printer, the GBC PowerPunch enables any operator to control punching applications from the printer’s graphical user interface or a print driver.
