Mercantile Bankshares Chooses AXIS
Internet Banking and Bill Payment

$11 Billion Client Will Convert All Active End Users
from In-House Systems to Digital Insight's Outsourced Products

CALABASAS, Calif., July 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Digital Insight® Corp. (Nasdaq: DGIN), a leading eFinance enabler, today announced that Baltimore-based Mercantile Bankshares Corporation has selected Digital Insight as its Internet Banking Solutions provider. Mercantile signed with Digital Insight in Q2 2003 and will convert from in-house systems to outsourced versions of AXIS® Internet Banking, Bill Payment and Presentment, and Check Imaging provided by Digital Insight.

Mercantile Bankshares Corporation is one the largest clients Digital Insight has signed based on asset size. Mercantile, with more than $11 billion in assets, is a regional multi-bank holding company with headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland. It is comprised of 20 community banks. Sixteen banks are located in Maryland, three are in Virginia and one is in southern Delaware. The largest bank, Mercantile-Safe Deposit and Trust Company, represents about 40% of total assets and has 23 offices in Maryland and one full commercial office in Pennsylvania. Mercantile will offer AXIS™ Internet Banking, Bill Payment and Presentment, and Check Imaging to all of its retail customers. All retail customers who use Mercantile's current Internet Banking solution will be converted to the Digital Insight offerings.

"The Digital Insight solution is consistent with our efficiency model while still providing a very competitive product to our customers," said Robert King, senior vice president of Enterprise Technology Services at Mercantile.

"Digital Insight is well-positioned to meet the needs of both large and small financial institutions," said John Dorman, chairman, president and CEO. "The convenience of outsourced ASP products, our industry leadership, and proven product reliability are key reasons why a growing number of financial institutions continue to choose Digital Insight. We look forward to serving Mercantile Bankshares and all of its community banks."
