LRS to Play Key Role in Modernization Alliance

SPRINGFIELD, IL – April 13, 2011 – Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. (LRS) announced its membership in the Platform Modernization Alliance (PMA). The group comprises more than 50 industry-leading companies dedicated to helping customers modernize their mission critical enterprise applications. With over three decades of experience providing Enterprise Output Management software for both mainframe and open systems environments, LRS provides unique value to both the new alliance and the customers they serve.
“Many companies are migrating core business applications from the mainframe to other platforms,” said John Runions, LRS Senior Manager of Global Alliances. “But until recently, few companies have considered the impact of system changes on document-related workflows. Often the question ‘how will we print and view documents in the new environment?’ isn’t asked until late in the migration process. Our VPSX® and PageCenterX® solutions can prevent document problems from affecting the larger modernization effort.”
As the only alliance member focused solely on Enterprise Output Management software and services, LRS plays an important role in guiding PMA best practices with regard to business-critical documents. Although multiple “modernization reference platforms” have been developed by PMA members, all rely on LRS’ proven Enterprise Output Server architecture for assured document capture, storage, management, and delivery.
