IMPIKA to premier the iPrint 250 in Tokyo
Japanese leader in transactional printing, ISETO Corporation will host an exclusive preview and scheduled demonstrations of the iPrint 250 for Japanese customers at its Atsugi plant
Aubagne, 3 November 2010: The breakthrough innovations colour ink-jet printing for the industry showcased by market leader IMPIKA this past May at IPEX Birmingham, attracted significant interest on behalf of major print and media players. The continuous feed iPrint line of printers, and especially the iPrint 250, recognized as the “fastest printer on the market”, attracted a number of players in the Japanese digital printing and publishing industry.
These industrials were no doubt seduced by its combined performances, flexibility and modularity. The iPrint 250 offers the latest-generation Panasonic print head, configured for high-speed processing (up to 254 m/mn or 833 fpm) at 600dpi and a maximum print width of 474mm (18,67inchs). iPrint 250 and modular finishing extensions allow multiple market segments to be serviced on the same printer. iPrint printers can be configured for single-side (SES) or duplex (TED) printing, with variable data formatting ensured by a latest-generation AFP/IPDS controller designed to ensure maximum utilization of printer capabilities.
To capitalize on the interest expressed by players in the Japanese market at the IPEX exhibition in Birmingham, ISETO Corporation will install for a few weeks an iPrint 250 “beta site” in its Atsugi, Kanagawa, plant near Tokyo.
IMPIKA Chief Executive, Paul Morgavi noted, “We are extremely pleased to note the interest of Japanese printers and professionals in the technological advances which confirm our leadership in the industrial inkjet printer space. We are honored by the welcome and hospitality shown by our Japanese hosts, the ISETO group, and are pleased to welcome them as official IMPIKA resellers for the Japanese Market.”
Several days of demonstrations and scheduled visits with key industrial prospects are planned in close cooperation with a team of IMPIKA experts. Tatsuo Kotani, Chief Executive of ISETO noted, “We have jointly worked out a complete program to demonstrate print and transactional printing applications. We will even welcome a delegation from the CPX Group (Color Process Exchange) who will attend a demonstration of the printer operating at 250m/mn (820fpm) en route to their association meeting in Australia.”
The Tokyo premier of the iPrint 250 over the coming days will mark a new chapter for IMPIKA’s international activities, and will soon to be followed by the introduction of other models currently in development.
