Melbourne's PMI Corp has bought its third HP Indigo digital press to meet the company's increasing workload. Managing Director Chris Zapris talks about why the company has chosen the HP Indigo technology as its digital platform.
PMI operates three HP Indigo digital presses at its inner city premises in Melbourne's Fitzroy - the new HP Indigo 7500, plus an HP Indigo 7000 (installed last year) and the company's original HP Indigo 5000.
"Having increased capacity leads to faster job turnaround times and in turn creates efficiency," says Zapris. "We believe high levels of efficiency create high levels of customer satisfaction. The HP Indigo platform enables us to produce high quality work fast and fits seamlessly into our digital workflow. Besides our armoury of three HP Indigo presses, our 'digital' culture includes automated quotes and job workflow, rapid customer assistance and on demand job delivery."
Zapris says PMI is "attracting an increasing amount of work from offset printers who trust us to produce their short print runs. We offer a cost effective trade printing service that complements our clients' demands and enables them to take advantage of the benefits of short run digital printing and provide their own customers with an expanded service".
PMI opened for business in 1998. Since that time PMI has built a solid reputation as a commercial printing company whose focus is based on producing the most cost effective short run printing. The company's services include digital printing, web-to-print, fulfilment and logistics.
"We are passionate about ideas and having fun," states Zapris. "We refine and develop our practices continually, never ruling out possibilities. With the end-user firmly in our mind, we ensure our printed products will ultimately meet our customers' needs. Our company structure and experience, gives us the flexibility to work seamlessly and productively with Australia's leading print managers, design agencies and offset printers."
In conclusion Zapris says, "Choosing HP Indigo fits with our philosophy of working with the best technology available to meet our objectives. The fact that we've committed to a third press confirms the value of the investment for our company and for our clients".
