GMG expands Latin America Operations, Appointing Saul Arana Technical Manager

Tuebingen (January 4, 2012) - GMG announces that effective January 1, Saul Arana has joined GMG Latin America as Technical Manager. Mr. Arana has spent his career specializing in color management, process production design, and training in Latin America.

Reporting directly to Paulo Monteiro, Business Manager, Latin America, but closely integrated with the GMG Americas technical support group, Mr. Arana will be responsible for all activities dealing with technical service for GMG software, including training and support for dealers and customers. Arana will also organize all technical presentations, and translations of technical materials for Latin America.

Based in Peru, Mr. Arana has spent nearly fifteen years operating ColorGroup, a color consultancy business, in Latin America. The company has been dedicated exclusively to color management as it relates to all specialized hardware or software color tools. During these years, Arana has been a close advisor to GMG and has assisted in the implementation of many color managed workflows and color solutions applying GMG technologies. Saul also operated his own small digital printing business, CusiData Printing house, and was IT Manager of Microland, the largest Apple Computer dealer in Peru. Mr. Arana began his career as a developer on the Apple platform for Xerox Corporation. Arana was educated with degrees in Food Science and Food Engineering at the Universidad Nacional Agraria "La Molina". He has also taken a number of high-end desktop publishing training courses on Apple technology, in partnership with other brands during his years on Xerox and Microland. Mr. Arana is fluent in both Spanish and English.

"GMG is very fortunate to have an exceptional technical expert such as Saul Arana on our staff. He has the expertise and leadership skills, as well as years of experience with GMG and other color management tools. Saul is an extremely important resource for all our dealers and customers throughout Latin America," comments Paulo Monteiro. "GMG Latin America integrates many functions with GMG Americas -- such as order processing and warehousing, but the addition of Saul Arana allows us to make more specific product and service centric decisions that best serve our customers in Latin America."
