Fuji Xerox Launches GMC PrintNet

To Enhance Full-Colour Transpromotional Marketing Communication Opportunities

Sydney 19 January 2011 – Fuji Xerox Australia announces the release of PrintNet, an end-to-end software solution from GMC Software Technology that automates the production and distribution of highly targeted print and digital communications.

GMC Print Net is a scalable, modular solution, which means that applications can be chosen to suit business workflow needs. From a single user wishing to transform legacy data streams for monochrome transactional documents through to collaborative composition, dynamic web proofing and mulit-channel full colour output for trans-promotional pieces. The software has been designed to assist in developing personalised communication that has shown to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty, while at the same time offer productivity gains throughout the production process and offer good return on marketing investment for brands who want to get more out of their marketing spend.

GMC's PrintNet solution will appeal to print providers, mailing houses and service bureaux   who provide transpromotional direct mail services in the financial and insurance services markets.

Rod Jones, managing director of COJO, one of Australia's leading mailing and fulfilment houses, said: "Since we began using PrintNet in August we have significantly improved our performance in most areas of the business, from our design area right through to delivery. PrintNet has improved our operational workflows and maintained complete real-time records for all of our processes. The benefits to our customers include faster job turnarounds, better responses to their campaigns, and very importantly, much closer communications with us. When Fuji Xerox explained the efficiencies that PrintNet would bring to our business the decision to implement it was easy."

The PrintNet platform offers a migration path for companies wishing to upgrade from mono transactional printing to complex, full-colour transpromotional printing which can include mix-plex (a combination of single- and double-sided) documents.

Peter Brittliff, marketing manager, Production Printing Systems & Workflow Software, at Fuji Xerox Australia, said, "Many of our customers are working towards migrating to high quality, colour transpromotional printing. GMC PrintNet enables our customers to easily make the move from legacy monochrome transactional print to full colour. It enables them to  put  targeted promotional messages onto each and every essential mail piece, creating tangible value for the recipients.

"At Fuji Xerox, we are renowned for our reliable hardware, excellent support and business development solutions. Our strategic relationship with GMC means our customers can deal with a single partner to provide the full end-to-end solution", concluded Brittliff.

Other Benefits include:

  • Easy-to-use WYSIWYG composition interface, as well as its 100% cross-platform integrity and support for Quark XPress, Adobe InDesign and MS Word, makes PrintNet the perfect design tool for businesses with limited in-house design facilities.
  • Version control capability ensures that all participants are working on the most up-to-date documents.
  • Message Management capability - for real-time messaging including web-based creation and approval, and rules-based message tracking and logic -brings significant productivity gains in tandem with enhanced client communications.
  • Irrespective of the workflows of both mono and full-colour environments, PrintNet will integrate with existing front-end processes for postal sorting and data cleansing to deliver a seamless, highly cost effective workflow process.
  • Supports almost all non-impact variable data printing devices from a single design platform, and offers genuine output flexibility with complete booklet/pamphlet and imposition functionality.

Service providers producing low volumes of transactional and promotional materials can reduce their costs by taking advantage of a volume licensing option. For high-volume and enterprise applications, PrintNet integrates with electronic content management (eCM), CRM and DAM marketing automation for real-time targeted marketing. It offers collaborative, simultaneous design, development and production among creative, IT and operations departments, including external advertising and marketing agencies, with robust web tools for full design, approval, live data proofing and production tracking.

Now with GMC PrintNet, Fuji Xerox Australia is able to offer a complete end-to-end transactional/transpromotional solution, complemented by a range of production printers, a diverse software portfolio, extensive business development and national support coverage.

GMC Software Technology is a global technology partner of Xerox Corporation, and was presented with a Xerox Business Partner of the Year Award in May 2010.

GMC PrintNet is available immediately. For more information contact your local Fuji Xerox Australia representative, or phone 13 14 12.
