Sydney, Australia: 18 October 2011 - Building on the enormous success of the 700 Digital Color Press, with well over 850 sold in Australia, Fuji Xerox has announced the release of the 700i Digital Color Press, generating new opportunities and even greater productivity for digital print businesses.
The new 700i Digital Color Press offers digital print providers with more advanced colour management capabilities, an expanded range of inline finishing options and additional product opportunities using heavyweight stocks. The choice of updated colour servers enables providers to not only reduce costs but also expand their range of applications to suit local market opportunities.
The Fuji Xerox 700i Digital Color Press can accurately match the intentions of graphic designers with its ability to reproduce colours precisely using updated colour management capabilities. These new advances have enabled the 700i Digital Color Press to achieve FOGRA VPS certification. It also uses the Adobe® PDF Print Engine 2, and is licensed for spot colour matching to the PANTONE Matching System, PANTONE Goe™ and PANTONE PLUS.
The expanded range of finishing options for the 700i Digital Color Press now includes the GBC Advanced Punch, enabling printers to professionally punch and bind documents inline. It brings together punching and collating into a single, convenient step. Users can choose between numerous interchangeable die sets to suit most popular binding styles, without having to resort to manual punching. Other inline finishing options that enable high value applications include face-trimmed, saddle-stitched booklets, as well as catalogues, punched documents, tri-fold brochures and photo specialty products.
The 700i Digital Color Press is able to duplex automatically, even while handling heavyweight stocks up to 300gsm. This broad stock handling capability increases productivity and application flexibility for users.
Digital printers also have greater choice than ever in server options to suit their particular print applications, for greater flexibility, performance and sophisticated variable data printing. They can choose between the Xerox FreeFlow Print Server and EX Print Server powered by EFI Fiery, the CX Print Server powered by Creo and Integrated Fiery Colour Server.
With a duty cycle of 540,000 images per month, the 700i Digital Color Press, is capable of printing up to 70 ppm across a wide range different stocks.
“The new Fuji Xerox 700i Digital Color Press really has it all,” said Mark Williams, Product Marketing Manager at Fuji Xerox Australia. “It updates the software and capabilities of the 700 Digital Press and continues to enable print providers with the performance and reliability to accept even more jobs”.
Fuji Xerox’s “low melt” EA (Emulsion Aggregation) toner technology is used in the 700i Digital Color Press to eliminate the use of fuser oil, giving printed products a finish very similar to offset. Low Melt EA toner uses extremely small particles of a consistent size to produce very high quality print with less toner for smooth transitions.
With its small footprint, capability for loading while running, advanced registration technology for tighter control, custom paper set-up and alignment profiles, SMart Kit replaceable units, and active decurling ability for heavyweight media, the 700i Digital Color Press offers digital printers a wealth of advanced technology to seek business growth and diversification.
