EDSF Administers Symcor, Inc. Scholarships, to Assist Students Pursuing Careers in Document Management and Graphic Communications

Scholarships Benefit Students at Ryerson University and University of Toronto

HURST, Texas U.S.A (Jan. 9, 2012) --- The Electronic Document Scholarship Foundation(EDSF), the international, non-profit organization dedicated to the document management and communications industries, announced two new scholarships for the 2012 academic year. The scholarships are sponsored by Symcor, Inc. one of North America's largest financial processing companies, and will support students attending Ryerson University and University of Toronto, both located in Canada.

Meegan Hinds, senior vice president and general manager at Symcor, said, "We are pleased to make these scholarships available to help graphic arts, document technology and communications students, who need financial assistance and are excelling academically. Our goal is to help them achieve their dream of becoming one of our future industry leaders."

The two Symcor scholarships will be awarded in 2012 to students committed to pursuing a career in the document management and graphic communications marketplace - the next generation of industry leaders. Brenda Kai, EDSF executive director, said, "We are honored that Symcor has chosen EDSF to administer their scholarships, and we look forward to awarding these two new scholarships to deserving students."

EDSF will begin accepting applications in mid-January 2012. The 2012 deadline for these scholarships is May 1, 2012. Scholarships are awarded based on scholastic achievement, honors received, participation in school activities along with community service and organizational affiliations. Eligibility requirements include a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale and full-time status.
