Compart Software Extends Data Support for Full Color Digital Production
Expanded support builds on years of color and data experience
October 13, 2008 -- BOSTON, MA --- Data management expert Compart Software announces it has extended its digital co-existence leadership with expanded support for industry-standard data formats to support full color digital applications. In response to market need, Compart has broadened its capabilities to include PPML, VIPP and VPS formats typically associated with color printers. This brings Compart coverage to over 20 input and output formats, a comprehensive and unmatched library that allows customers to work with almost any data stream on 14 operating systems.
Compart has established a leadership position in data stream management and transformation through years of specialized focus on data handling and conversion. Compart has always been intensely involved in developing color support and with the increased adaption of digital color printing, it has applied this legacy to specialized full color digital print streams. This extensive experience helps customers handle color output streams and standards like AFP, IJPDS, PDF and PostScript formats. Document and data service providers face an ever-more complex array of data formats in day-to-day operations, complicated by the need to handle full color documents. As more applications require variable data output and full color digital printing, print service providers and others will be prepared to handle a wider range of data formats.
Compart solutions like DocBridge Mill software provide deployment flexibility and true platform portability to help companies operate with “digital co-existence” and use their existing data streams. Compart-enabled digital co-existence allows diverse data formats to co-exist seamlessly across business silos, operating systems and production operations. Service providers can accept and work with customer-provided data without lengthy trial and error to convert the data to a more manageable format. Banks and insurance companies can consolidate multiple statement operations without the obstacles of integrating different data streams.
With exclusive concentration on digital print files and output formats, the Compart product architecture is deeply rooted in the concept of digital co-existence. Compart DocBridge Mill software converts documents and spooled print output, allows content modification and optimization, and then transforms data into practically any output format. For a full ADF solution, DocBridge Pilot extends this functionality for piece-level control of documents from disparate sources. The result enables savings and efficiency from optimized production and digitally co-mingled postal computation. The DocBridge product family offers enhanced output management for archive and web optimization, document presentation, printing, reprinting, and print output management, without requiring users to be print stream experts.
“No matter what the application or data service, the ability to seamlessly and flawlessly accept and manage data is central to any digital production process. As full color digital printing meets high volume applications, we help our customers achieve seamless data control, conversion and interaction. We help them avoid interruptions, re-engineering downtime and other issues in order to achieve maximum flexibility, fast turnaround and nimble business response,” said Mark Maragni, Vice President of Sales, Compart North America.

About Compart DocBridge Software
Compart’s DocBridge software suite converts documents and spooled print output into more usable content and data. DocBridge Mill software performs multiple processes, including separating, changing, classifying, indexing, converting, and distributing content. As a result, content is easier to present, print and archive. Many customers typically use the software for automatic separation, splitting, merging and filtering of batch and transactional inputs. Automatic classification and indexing are additional capabilities of this versatile tool. After it modifies and optimizes output, DocBridge transmits the data stream to practically any device or system.
