Kirkwood Direct adds new Buck Automation SAMI-Stretch™ Direct Mail Envelope Inserter
Kirkwood Direct (www.kirkwooddirect.com/), a full service direct marketing company, adds a Buck Automation (BuckAutomation.com) SAMI™-Stretch Direct Mail Envelope Inserter to its Wilmington, MA production plant. This new inserter will enable Kirkwood Direct to offer cutting edge insertion technology while providing it’s customers with efficient high speed insertion capabilities. Adding this new piece of equipment to its other recent additions, like a new Heidelberg Speedmaster Press, is another example of Kirkwood’s commitment to accuracy in execution and overall customer satisfaction.
BuckAutomation.com's SAMI-Stretch allows insertion of media into the largest and the smallest letter envelopes allowed by the USPS. Specifically, the SAMI-Stretch Inserter enables Kirkwood Direct to insert multiple pieces of media into envelopes as small as 3-1/2” by 5” and as large as 6-1/8” by 11-1/2”, up to ¼” thick. The large to small size envelope capabilities provides the choices needed to achieve a unique look for their client’s campaigns. The large envelope size allows flat products to be folded and enjoy significant postage savings, while giving the package an ‘open-me!’ look.
SAMI-Stretch is a highly automated, high-throughput, brand-new design “from the ground up”. It is designed to handle light, heavy, small, big, lumpy and hard-to-run inserts as well as other mail components. It has many exciting new features. SAMI-Stretch’s Remote-Management-Control provides supervision monitoring capabilities. This wide range of product capabilities offers new opportunities for Kirkwood’s clients to increase their customer’s revenue.
