In addition, the magazine recognized the Xerox WorkCentre™ C2424 color multifunction system with a "Tech Innovator Award" in the Printing and Imaging/Peripherals category for "outstanding achievement in technology innovation." The WorkCentre C2424, launched in March, is the industry's first office color multifunction system with Xerox's patented solid ink technology. Starting at $2,999, the WorkCentre C2424 delivers affordable color printing, copying and scanning.

The VARBusiness Tech Innovator Awards recognize outstanding achievement in technology innovation in 11 product and service categories from desktops to software. Winners were selected from over 500 entries by VARBusiness technology editors and a panel of judges from the reseller community.

Xerox was honored at an awards ceremony Oct. 20 at the XChange Tech Innovators Conference in San Francisco, a gathering of channel professionals.

Recent honors include:

• An "Editor's Choice" designation from PC Magazine for the Phaser™ 6300DN color laser printer.
  
• Three "Editor's Choice" awards from Better Buys for Business for the CopyCentre™, WorkCentre and WorkCentre™ Pro 255, 265 and 275 digital copiers and multifunction systems.
  
• Xerox's DocuShare™ 4.0 content management software received an "Excellent" rating - 8.8 out of 10 - in a review from InfoWorld, and it was named to KMWorld magazine's list of "Trend-Setting Products of 2005."
  
• The Phaser 7750 color laser printer received a "Highly Recommended" rating from Byte.com.
