Inventive Designers issues new version of DTM for iSeries

Inventive Designers issues new version of DTM for iSeries

DTM V3 part of ongoing investment in iSeries by the specialist in alternatives for Office Vision/400

Antwerp, 20 September 2007 – Inventive Designers, market leader in alternatives for Office Vision/400, is launching a third version of the Data/Text merger, DTM, for iSeries. DTM V3 can now generate over 15 popular output formats (including TIFF, PDF, HTML, RTF and PostScript) for web, print, fax, e-mail and archive channels. Another feature is integration with the document solution, Scriptura, and compatibility with Office 2007 and DTM V2.

The output formats are possible thanks to the link to Scriptura – the WYSIWYG solution from Inventive Designers that allows any type of document or business output to be generated from any type of data and delivered to an output channel. DTM V3 is also integrated into the ribbon-interface of MS Word 2007. This makes it easy to prepare documents from within Word for iSeries.

The new version of DTM was developed because customers of Inventive Designers were asking for an increasingly wide range of output formats. ”Despite the general decline of iSeries, we are seeing customers often reinvesting in the operating system. That is why we are continuing to make developments on the reliable iSeries systems,” says Joke Dehond, Director at Inventive Designers.

DTM remains the most popular alternative for IBM’s OfficeVision and was recently sold to Saytel and Bank of America.
