Volvo Joins the Ranks of QR Powered Brands

By Joe Barber, Chief QR Officer at the CodeZQR division of Computer Output Print & Internet (COPI)

Volvo has announced the launch of a Pan-Euorpean marketing campaign for their new C-70 model that will include QR Codes in the print ads according to mad.co.uk.  The print ads and QR Codes are part of a 5 month integrated campaign that will also include search and banner ad placement as well as email marketing and other media.

One of the reasons that Volvo has chosen to use QR Codes is to test and measure the effectiveness of the offers and print media being used.  They don’t want just a branding campaign.  They want measurable lead generation and QR Codes helps them to determine the measurable results of the print ads.

Of course, the fact that the QR Codes provide an easy way to transfer consumers from an offline to an online experience was also a reason for including the codes.

It is great to see Volvo join the ranks of QR empowered brands.

Be sure to email me with links to other brands that you see using QR.
