More Capabilities, Less Space
The Océ JetStream 1000 system is the first continuous feed inkjet printer in its speed class offering full width single engine perfecting press capabilities, printing both sides of the paper using one engine. This self-contained system uses floor space more efficiently than competitive devices, with a footprint 20 to 60 percent smaller than other inkjet systems in its class. As a result, customers can enter the production color arena without a negative impact on limited floor space.
Estimating Accuracy in Color Production
The new Océ PRISMAproduction TrueCost option helps operations manage color production more effectively. The tool automatically calculates ink usage with extreme accuracy. For the first time, print professionals can determine the true cost of applications and price them appropriately, while maintaining competitiveness and ensuring the ROI of every job. This takes the guesswork out of calculating color costs, enabling print providers to capture more color profits and generate maximum return on every color application, regardless of color ink coverage.
Integrated MICR for Check Printing
The Océ JetStream family was the first to integrate MICR functionality into a full process digital inkjet color engine to support both high-volume color inkjet printing and MICR applications on a single platform. This innovative Océ technology won the 2009 Innovator of the Year award from Xplor International. The integrated MICR capability allows printing of convenience and full-color checks with complete reliability, security and error recovery. Users can print negotiable documents that meet the Check Payment Systems Association (CPSA) security requirements and gain CPSA certification. Integrated Océ JetStream 1000 MICR production provides a single platform for full color TransPromo applications requiring MICR, check production, as well as color transaction documents. For mainstream checkbook producers, the integrated MICR capability eliminates base stock production costs. Associated inventory and distribution expenses and waste can be reduced. For check writing applications such as EOBs, payroll, payables, and disbursements, Océ JetStream 1000 MICR printing eliminates preprinted forms and their associated security concerns.
Based on Award-winning Océ JetStream Platform
With its Océ JetStream foundation and productivity, the new Océ JetStream 1000 model is designed for users with volumes up to 24 million prints per month. The single-cabinet duplex engine delivers up to 1,070 letter-size ppm (1,010 A4) at 600 x 600 dpi. With the optional multilevel Océ DigiDot capability, this can be perceived as almost 1,200 dpi for applications needing the highest resolution. A flexible, field-upgradable growth path can take customers from 1/0 to full color and 6/6 printing, including MICR printing and spot colors or other specialty inks, along with CMYK printing for more flexibility than any other inkjet engine.
Océ PRISMA software makes it easier to embed new applications such as variable personalization and TransPromo documents into existing workflows. Océ PRISMA software also integrates Océ JetStream systems into existing workflow without disruption.
