IBIS exhibiting at On Demand show.

The IBIS Smart-binder SB-3 will be shown on C.P. Bourg’s booth 1249 at Boston’s On Demand Exhibition, March 3 – 6.

At On Demand we will also be celebrating the manufacture of IBIS’s 100th IBIS digital print finishing system.

The IBIS Smart-binder SB-3 is the finishing system of choice for today’s demanding digital environment. It produces high-quality, variable page-count, personalised books, using either wire-stitching, or ISG cold-glue. The SB-3 may be upgraded to model SB-4 to also produce high quality perfect-bound books (using cold and hot-melt glue), with a unique in-line connection to C.P. Bourg’s highly automated BB3002 adhesive binder.

C.P. Bourg will be exhibiting the BB3002 binder off-line, next to the SB-3 at On Demand.

The Smart-binder is the only saddle-stitcher system capable of running in-line with today’highest-speed monochrome and four-color continuous web digital printers.
The Smart-binder will be shown at the On Demand show in off-line mode with a high-speed sheet pile-feeder.

• The Smart-binder produces up to 6,000 booklets per hour (or 12,000 bph in two-up mode with the optional trimmer centre knife).
• The Smart-binder features a full three-knife trimmer, and can bind and trim booklets containing up to 200 pages (or 1200 pages when linked to the BB3002 perfect binder).
• The Smart-binder can produce variable page-count booklets, without stopping to make adjustments, and is therefore ideal for ‘personalized’ documents.
• ISG cold-gluing is exclusive to the Smart-binder and results in a stronger bind without wire stitches, and better “lay flat ” quality.
• The Smart-binder is the perfect VDP finishing system, with the ability to match personalized text, covers, and additional inserts.
