OutputLinks Announces 2007 EDP Award of Merit Recipient: Brett Dashwood EDP
OutputLinks is pleased to announce Brett Dashwood EDP of PrintSoft Australia as the 2007 OutputLinks EDP Award of Merit recipient. Dashwood, who lives in Victoria, Australia, is a highly active leader in the HVTO community and a dedicated advocate of the Electronic Document Professional (EDP) distinction.
The EDP Award of Merit was established by OutputLinks in 2004 to recognize certified Electronic Document Professionals, or EDPs, who have made extraordinary contributions to the HVTO industry. Dashwood, this year’s EDP honoree, has a long history of contributions to the document industry.
"The OutputLinks EDP Award of Merit symbolizes achievement, excellence, leadership, and dedication and support of the EDP designation. Brett Dashwood possesses all these qualities in abundance," said Andy Plata, president and CEO of OutputLinks. "We’re proud to honor such a deserving EDP and top HVTO professional.”
Since 1996, Brett Dashwood's time at PrintSoft has included technical services, corporate solutions and business development management roles---all prior to his appointment as CEO of PrintSoft Americas, based in the U.S. On his return to PrintSoft Australia, and as manager – solutions (Asia Pacific) with PrintSoft Products Pty Ltd, he worked to energize Xplor Asia Pacific and now has a heavy focus on the HVTO community in China. Over his career, Dashwood has presented on numerous occasions at seminars, training events and industry conferences across Australia, the USA, Brazil, Europe and throughout the Asia Pacific region. He is also active in bettering the educational value of Xplor in the region, something he has been attempting to achieve with additional involvement with EDSF (The Electronic Document Systems Foundation).

Dashwood also seems to be highly involved with everything else that he does. He’s participated in Scouting for most of his life, involved with all youth levels, including achieving the highest award in Australian Scouting, the Queen's Scout Award. He also became a Scout leader almost as soon as he was able to while holding regional and branch level positions through his Rover Scout career. More recently, he was a founding member of the Skipper Holland Baden Powell Guild.
In addition, Dashwood has served on the committee of The Melbourne Jeep Owners Club (MJOC) for a number of years and is currently the sitting vice president. MJOC is the largest Jeep club and one of the largest and most active 4WD clubs in Australia.
