La Poste Group Acquires Remaining Share of Sefas to Enhance Docapost Offering
This news brought to you by OutputLinks’ European media partner, 4IT Group
La Poste Group, via its DOCAPOST subsidiary, has acquired the remaining capital of Sefas Innovation, the developer of transactional document management software.
At the end of 2008, La Poste acquired 51% of Sefas, which had built a following for its personalised customer-facing documents and correspondence offering. Set up in 1991, Sefas Innovation operates in Europe and the US.
The Sefas Open Print document production suite provides its users with the latest technological advances such as TransPromo, ADF capabilities, the enhanced use of colour, and multi-channel distribution.
Sefas software has been adopted by numerous organisations in the banking/insurance, telecoms and public services sectors, including Nationwide Building Society and BT in the UK.
Through its acquisition of Sefas Innovation, DOCAPOST strengthens its capabilities as the document systems and services specialist of La Poste Group.
DOCAPOST specialises in the management of inbound documents (digitisation, management of postal departments, and outsourcing of client processes); the management of outbound documents (industrial and on-request desktop publishing, electronic archiving); and the management of digitised communications (EDI, collaborative platforms, electronic certificates).
Moreover, Docapost and Océ announce their new OEM partnership with Sefas Innovation.
Océ PRISMA®designer, powered by the new Open Print technology from Sefas Innovation, is a new document design and composition solution which is extremely innovative in the area of
collaborative workflows, object oriented design and enrichment of legacy applications. Océ PRISMA®designer is the solution for Direct Mail, TransPromo and Transactional printing applications in the professional printing environment.
The design environment is built around a central repository that allows any document stakeholder to share resources in real time, regardless of location. Data is separated from design and design from output. This provides the flexibility to use any type and number of data files in the design process and to render documents in any output format, including electronic formats and delivery. Due to the browser based architecture all Océ PRISMA®designer functionalities can be accessed via integrated web portals.
