Data Processing Manager
Responsible for the scheduling and operation of computer processing production to provide efficient, effective, and timely service. Plans, coordinates, and directs information services operating systems and related components to provide for the operation of computer systems, including storage device management, security standards management, etc. Directs the technical support efforts which includes responsibility for all related computer system software, hardware, and database administration. Solely responsible for the enhancements through implementation of the Marketing Forms utilized by clients as contest vouchers, check and various reports. All work coded in COBOL on the OS/MVS platform.
Provided modifications, programming, testing and implementation for various financial reports for the accounting department. Interfaced with end users to gather specifications. All work coded in COBOL, JCL and SYNCSORT/OS (a high performance sort, merge and copy utility) on the OS/MVS. Also, provides end user problem/resolution for all systems, applications and reports.
Provided the design through implementation of various high volume reports, voucher applications, sweepstakes contest vouchers, letters, invoices and checks for clients. Interfaced with customers to gather specifications. All work coded in E-Z Letter on the OS/MVS.
Console Operator
Handled production control responsibilities in an OS/MVS environment. Provided JCL coding to transfer data, integrate files, and fix abends. Also, submitted and monitored jobs and utilized TSO/ISPF.
Computer Operator
Solely monitored the OS/MVS master console for the MVS/XA and JES 2. Scheduled jobs with TSO/ISPF, and handled all printer and distribution of reporting.
