Mailing Training:
Increase Profits, Decrease Financial Threats

What You Don’t Know Can Cost You $$$

The Mailing Training Institute is located in Rochester, NY, birthplace of Fortune 500 firms Eastman Kodak Co., Xerox Corp., and Bausch & Lomb Inc. Home to wine giant Constellation Brands, whose CEO was named Man of the Year by Wine Enthusiast; as well as payroll processing firm Paychex Inc. and upscale grocer Wegmans Food Markets, two of Fortune's "Top 100 Companies to Work For."

So it’s no surprise that the innovative Mailing Training Institute is an 8,000 square-foot facility featuring state-of the-art classrooms, labs, conference rooms and offices designed to aggressively develop products and services that encompass all aspects of the business of mail. Products developed at the facility include text books, publications, kits and templates, on-line forums and web-based seminars.

April MIEBA

The April Mailing Industry Executive Business Administration (MIEBA) Program proves to be another hot industry must-have. The six day training, April 14-19, will expose students to the economic factors and concepts involved in the business of mail. For example, there are more than 3,000 postage discounts available to claim in today’s rate structure. The belief is that the most effective learning is achieved through exposure to business concepts in several ways over a defined period of time.

Attendees with hands-on classroom and production floor experiences will learn more and retain it longer. Think about the most recent Webinar you attended, or PowerPoint presentation you sat through. Are all the pictures still vivid in your memory? Now picture an exhilarating, in-depth, hands-on classroom and production floor experience!

Complex and changing USPS regulations can be daunting, but mailing services still offer a great value-add opportunity. Throughout the country, printers are facing declining margins and increasing competition. One of today’s most exciting trends in the direct mail industry is how printers are successfully expanding into mailing.

Upon completion of the training, attendees will be equipped to utilize their newfound economic reasoning to formulate workable business strategies for their own companies regardless of whether the company is looking to enter the mailing industry, enhance or expand existing capabilities, reduce current expenses or increase future profits.

Major Session Topics of Instruction Include:

§         Strategic Planning for Mail (mailing equipment ROIs, reducing internal costs, development of pricing, how to sell mail and more.)

§         Mailing List Maintenance (DPV ZIP+4 discounts, database maintenance, quality assurance programs, identifying duplicates, merge/purge of mailing lists and more)

§         Designing For Postage Discounts (mailpiece design, folding, tabs, window envelopes, easily decrease your postage by 51 percent and more)

§         United States Postal Service (classes of mail, profit/non profit, postage payment methods, MERLIN and more.)

§         Presorting Mail (Using the USPS as a tool to claim maximum discounts, PAVE certified software, mailing statements, barcoded container tags)

For a detailed list of session topics, click here or call The Bennett Group at (877) 743-3379.

Specifically, Students Will Learn:

§         Design tools to cut postage costs by over 50 percent and receive faster mail delivery and increase response rates

§         Equipment requirements including ink-jet and laser addressing, mailing hardware/software, camera document technology, bundling/strapping tools and metering

§         Equipment costs and how big a footprint it will make on the production floor

§         Mailing software packages and how to select the software that is right for your mail pieces, your mailing lists, and your mailing market

§         How to effectively sell your mailing expertise to your clients

§         When to look, how to look, and where to look at Postal procedures and regulations that impact postage costs

The MIEBA will enable students to increase their knowledge and profits and decrease the financial threats that face all participants in the mailing industry.

Who Should Attend the MIEBA Program?

§         Owners

§         Upper Management (VP’s of Operations, Finance, Marketing, Sales)

§         Mid-Level Managers (CSR’s, Data Processing, Production, Mailroom, Graphic Design)

§         Anyone involved in the business of mail

What’s New in the Industry for 2008?

“Over the next 18 months, major mailing issues including reducing undeliverable as addressed mail, maximizing mailpiece design, meeting Move Update requirements, implementing the Intelligent Mail Barcode, and introducing the PostalOne program for paperless mail acceptance are all topics that can and should benefit from more exposure, conversation, discussion and education.” said Mary Ann Bennett, president and CEO of The Bennett Group, Inc.

Many of these topics, and much more, will be explained during the six-day MIEBA. Bring your questions and get answers.

Don’t Miss it - April 14-19 in Rochester, NY

The MIEBA will take you from concept to mailbox, explaining the economic factors that impact the bottomline of entering the mailing industry and is a must for anyone interested in putting printed pieces into the USPS mailstream---and MAKING MONEY while doing it.

Tuition

The $5,800 tuition includes six days (48 hours) of instruction; supervision of independent study in the classrooms or computer labs and on the production floor; workbooks, study guides, Institute resources, refreshments and lunches. The tuition is $3,480 or a 40 percent discount for each additional student attending training from the same company.
