Kodak Showcases the Power of Innovation at Graph Expo

World’s Imaging Leader Introduces New Product and Services for Printing and Publishing Industries

Graph Expo 2006

ROCHESTER, N.Y. & CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Eastman Kodak Company’s Graphic Communications Group today introduced several new products and services designed to maximize profit potential and workflow efficiencies for customers in the graphic design, digital prepress, printing, and publishing industries.

Kodak unveiled its new solutions at Graph Expo 2006, the printing industry’s leading trade show, with more than 40,000 attendees and 500 exhibitors.

“These new products and services further position Kodak as the only company that offers end-to-end solutions for print providers,” said Kevin Joyce, Kodak’s Managing Director of United States and Canada Region, and Vice President of its Graphic Communications Group. “With the strength of Kodak’s research, intellectual property, and constant innovation, we will continue to develop industry significant products and services well into the future.”

Kodak’s new product and service announcements include:

  • New KODAK MARKETMOVER Network, a service that connects print providers to an expanded pool of marketers who need printing services. The unique commerce networking service will help printers grow while making it easier for marketers to leverage new applications to maximize their return on investment.
  • The next-generation KODAK DIGIMASTER EX digital production system, which comes in four speeds: the DIGIMASTER EX 138 -- a new speed to address a critical production space, the EX 110 (110 ppm), the EX 125 (125 ppm), and the EX 150 (150 ppm).
  • KODAK VERSAMARK DS5340 and KODAK VERSAMARK DS5222 inkjet printing systems, which feature higher data throughput and enhanced connectivity.
  • The KODAK PRINERGY 4 workflow system for unprecedented flexibility to customize, manage and automate conventional and digital print workflows. Within its technology demonstration, Kodak will also highlight how the new ADOBE PDF Print Engine technology and the ADOBE FLEX development environment helped Kodak improve the newest PRINERGY system release.
  • KODAK PROFILE WIZARD 4.0 Mio software, which utilizes the latest color management technology to give creative and prepress professionals the power to maintain color accuracy from device to device. PROFILE WIZARD 4.0 software delivers optimized ICC DeviceLink profiles, enhanced ICC profiling and additional profile editing tools.
  • The KODAK COLORFLOW technology architecture for seamlessly communicating, controlling, and confirming color across multiple devices through enhanced connectivity, improved predictability and the elimination of errors.
  • The KODAK NEXPRESS Photo Bundle, which features an easy to implement set of components that helps photofinishers and graphic communications providers create valuable photo services products.
  • The KODAK MAGNUS 800 platesetter, shown for the first time in North America.

In addition to its product introductions and booth exhibits, Kodak will conduct a technology demonstration of its KODAK Unified Workflow Solutions. The newest version of this offering -- originally created to increase customers’ profit potential through labor savings, waste reduction acceleration at prepress and error reduction -- have been extended to encompass Web-to-print solutions based on KODAK INSITE and PRINERGY technologies.
